Javea Fiestas

Javea is well known for its colourful and vibrant fiestas which take place throughout the year. The coastal village of Javea lights up with beautiful floral arrangements and decorations abound in the streets. Fireworks light up the evening skies, and food and drink are in full swing during these fun festivals.

The Fogueres de Sant Joan is the main festival in Javea and takes place in the month of June. The town is replete with fireworks, flower arrangements and displays. The fun-loving people congregate to enjoy the fiesta on the main streets of Javea, as well as in the port area and on the beach. The Fogueres de Sant Joan fiesta is in honour of the summer and the main party takes place on the shortest night of the year. Bonfires are lit on the beaches and many of the local residents take a dip in the sea. The traditional paella is served at many food stalls, as well as many other local specialities.

Fiestas take place all throughout the year in Javea, and most visitors will get the chance to experience one of these great events. The whole town is alive with music, dance and lights and is a memorable occurrence to be treasured.
