The Soler Blasco Museum

The Soler Blasco Museum in Javea is housed in a seventeenth century Renaissance mansion. Located on Calle Primicies, the museum is easily recognised from its impressive facade. The museum is home to many interesting archaeological finds, and is definitely worth a visit when in Javea.

The Soler Blasco Museum houses a copy of the original treasures found in the town back in 1904. The gold and silver found date back for centuries and makes an interesting display at the museum. The originals can be seen in Madrid, although the Javea copies look just as real.

Archaeological finds from the Bronze Age are displayed in the museum, as are some of the crystals that were found in the Montgo Cave. The Soler Blasco Museum also houses relics from the old Roman fish salting factory at Punta de L’Arenal, as well as mementos from the Christian and Arabic eras in Spain. The museum is home to some amazing treasures, and it is worth spending an afternoon learning about the interesting history of Javea.
