Javea is a pretty port town in the northern Costa Blanca of Spain and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area. Javea can be divided into three distinct areas, which are the Old Town (Javea Pueblo), the port (Javea Puerto) and the beach area (Playa de Arenal). Each area is worth visiting and offer plenty of activities and sites.
Arenal Beach is a very popular beach where you can wile away the day basking up the sunshine and swimming in the clear blue Mediterranean Sea. The beach is home to several restaurants and bars and is a popular place to hang out in both the day and in the evenings. Water sports are on offer, including sailing and scuba diving .
The Javea Port is worth a visit, and guests can enjoy a leisurely walk down the old promenade and enjoy the surrounding views. There are several small bars and restaurants in the area where you can enjoy fresh seafood and local specialties. If you are interested in visiting some of the local sites, The Old Town features some old Gothic buildings and churches. There is a food market worth visiting, selling fresh fare from the area.
Several golf courses are found in close proximity to Javea for the beginner as well as the seasoned golfer.
